Romanus III is a painting on canvas created as part of the conceptual project From "0" to Infinity. The composition is entirely constructed using Roman numerals, turned into graphic forms and structural symbols. Each digit is part of a unique, non-repeating sequence that defines the work’s singular identity. Beyond its formal rigor, the piece investigates a refined chromatic palette where each tone carries visual and symbolic weight.

 

Pompeian red—earthy and intense—anchors the composition with a sense of history and solemnity. Light blue introduces a counterpoint of air and reflection. Bronze and gold bring warmth and luminous vibration, evoking the sacred and the eternal.

 

These colors are not decorative: they become part of a visual code, a language made of numbers and color fields. Romanus III invites the viewer to decipher its internal logic and rhythm. Here, painting becomes thought, and structure becomes silent poetry.

Il rosso Pompei—terroso, profondo, ancestrale—ancora la composizione nel tempo e nella memoria. Il blu celeste introduce un contrappunto di respiro e leggerezza. I toni del bronzo e dell’oro aggiungono vibrazioni luminose, evocando il sacro, la materia e l’eterno.
